Hi, my name is Totte. You’ve landed to my personal corner of the Internet where I’m writing about a couple of niche topics that are of interest to me. I set up this website because I enjoy organising my thoughts in writing but dislike most aspects of the algorithm driven, engagement based social media.

Speaking of algorithms, my academic and applied work is focused on causal inference and reasoning. I’ve spent nearly 10 years in Silicon Valley companies solving practical problems related to causality. I’m proud to have contributed back to the field with the Causal ML open source library and community.

As will become clear if you read just about anything I’ve written here, I’m also a passionate fan and a practitioner of endurance sports. In my view, there are few activities that offer an equal perspective to human performance and the human condition.
